The Putnam County Health Department offers the following screening services:
Lab draws are available by going to the Events page and scheduling an appointment or calling the health department. Clinics are normally scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. The health department does not bill insurance companies for lab draws. The self-pay fees are listed on the Fee Schedule and are subject to change.
Blood sugar screenings are available by scheduling an appointment with a nurse. There is a $1.00 fee for each appointment, and fasting is required.
Cholesterol screenings are available by appointment only. There is a $20.00 fee, and fasting is required. All clients must have an appointment with the Putnam County Health Department.
The Putnam County Health Department screens for the following STDs:
All STD screenings are free.
All lead screenings require an appointment. There is a $15.00 fee for non-Medicaid participants.
Tuberculosis screenings have a fee of $10.00. Clients wanting to be screened for tuberculosis must have an appointment with the Putnam County Health Department.
Coagulation checks require a physician order and an appointment with the Putnam County Health Department. There is a $10.00 fee for all coagulation checks.
Blood pressure screenings are available during office hours and based on the availability of a nurse. Our hours can be found at the bottom of this page.
A fee may apply to any urine pregnancy test and an appointment with the Putnam County Health Department is required.
